High-Precision Alley Mapping | Geosun GS-120G Handheld LiDAR System

In this project, the Geosun GS-120G Handheld LiDAR System, equipped with the Hesai XT32 laser sensor and advanced SLAM algorithms, was used to capture 3D data of a narrow alleyway in Beijing, China.

The GS-120G’s compact and lightweight design allows smooth data collection even in dense urban environments where GNSS signals are weak or obstructed. Operators can easily walk through tight spaces, scan building façades, roads, and street structures — achieving seamless indoor–outdoor mapping without interruption.

The resulting colored point cloud vividly restores the real-world scene, from architectural textures to road markings, demonstrating the system’s superior colorization and detail accuracy.
