Geely Automotive Plant丨GS-120G SLAM Scanning Solutions for Factory Digital Twin

In a recent digital infrastructure mapping project at the Geely Automobile Manufacturing Plant, the Geosun GS-120G handheld LiDAR scanner was deployed to capture the complete layout of the factory’s interior and exterior in 3D with outstanding clarity and efficiency.

Spanning a vast industrial site with large workshops, complex machinery, long corridors, shaded logistics zones, and limited GNSS signal coverage, this project demanded a highly adaptable and accurate mapping solution. The GS-120G rose to the challenge — and exceeded expectations.

Thanks to its lightweight, ergonomic design, the GS-120G allowed operators to move swiftly and comfortably through both indoor and outdoor areas. Unlike traditional scanning methods, this compact handheld device required no tripods or bulky setups, significantly reducing field time and labor. Operators could walk through the facility and collect rich point cloud data in real-time, even in tight spaces and high-ceiling environments.
