In this project, our client from Poland used the Geosun GS-120G Handheld LiDAR System, equipped with the Hesai XT32 sensor and advanced SLAM algorithms, to capture a detailed 3D model of a wooden church — a historical architectural landmark.
The GS-120G’s compact design and precise scanning capability make it an ideal tool for heritage preservation and digital documentation. Even in areas with complex geometry and limited GNSS signal, the system can quickly acquire dense, accurate point clouds.
The resulting colorized point cloud beautifully reconstructs the church’s wooden textures, towers, and surrounding environment, with a crystal-like clarity — earning the client’s description of it as “a church inside a crystal ball.”
Project Highlights
This project demonstrates how the GS-120G enables lightweight, high-precision LiDAR mapping for both professional surveyors and cultural heritage experts — delivering realistic and measurable 3D data for preservation, analysis, and visualization.![]()
